Maps of Imaginary Places

For a while now I’ve had a graphic design side project called Maps of Imaginary Places — a series of geometric experiments exploring how colors and shapes interact. Each piece is a visual journey through an abstract landscape that exists only in imagination, which is where the name comes from.

The work is all clean lines and symmetry: kaleidoscopes, mountain ranges, stripes, and the occasional piece of typography. Overlapping transparent shapes do most of the heavy lifting — it’s amazing how much depth you can get from a few polygons and some restraint.

The designs are available as prints, pillows, and other products in the shop. Seeing a pattern that started as flat geometry wrapped around a physical object never gets old.
